Fire Underwriters Survey (FUS) Superior Tender Shuttle Service Accreditation
On April 9th, 2011, Salt Spring Island Fire Rescue accomplished a true milestone in successfully completing the Fire Underwriters Survey (FUS) Superior Tender Shuttle Service Accreditation Testing requirements.
Since then, many Salt Spring Island Fire Protection District (SSIFPD) ratepayers, whose residential address falls within the coverage zone – and who weren’t previously considered to have been in a ‘hydranted’ area – have benefited from reductions in their insurance premiums.
We’re proud to provide our community with this opportunity for savings; in fact, only two other Fire Departments in B.C. have passed the rigorous testing required, so please forgive us if it sounds like we’re tooting our horn!
