Most Salt Springers will recognize veteran Trustee Robin Williams from his staff duties on the sales counter at Windsor Plywood. A retired businessman, Williams has been extensively involved in local government since moving to Salt Spring Island fulltime in 2012.
Robin Williams served six years on the CRD Transportation Commission, including four years as Chair. In 2016, he was appointed by the B.C. Government to a three-year term as a Trustee of the Islands Trust Conservancy, where he served as the Conservancy’s designate on the Islands Trust Financial Planning Committee. He also currently serves as Chair of the CRD Ganges Harbourwalk Steering Committee.
Now in his second term as a Fire District Trustee, Williams sits on the New Fire Hall Project Steering Committee and Chairs both the Finance and Audit Committee and the Communications and Marketing Committee.
